WISDOM….CRAZY WISDOM

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of doing a book signing and presentation (our book is “Your Life Your Way: The Essential Guide for Women”) for a small group of people at the Crazy Wisdom Bookstore and Tea Room in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We gathered in the tea room which provides a very warm, intimate and comfortable setting. Crazy Wisdom’s location is quite special too—it is on Main Street right in the center of the business area of Ann Arbor. www.crazywisdom.net.

Since it was a small group of people, I was able to have the attendees participate in my presentation. I believe attendees take away so much more this way than when they attend a presentation where they simply sit and listen to someone speak. Engaging the audience to actively participate is the type of presentation that Lynn and I learned when in the Co-Active Leadership training program. Co-activity, interacting with others or doing a presentation co-actively is where everyone benefits the most—it is the most rewarding. It isn’t therefore a surprise that it is my favorite format for presentations.

Co-authoring our book was certainly more rewarding and more fun than going it alone would have been. AND, the co-activity opened the door to so many more ideas than either one of us could have contributed on our own. Lynn and I will be writing about our experiences of co-authoring very soon. In the meantime, when you are doing a project, consider partnering with someone and doing it co-actively….the possibilities are endless–and it can be more fun!

Your book looks fascinating as well as providing a practical guide to living fully and joyously. Congratulations on your publication and good luck with your tour.

I agree, working in tandem with a fellow professional is so rewarding. Each of us, no matter how creative, can suffer from tunnel vision and mutual brainstorming is an amazing way to get the juices flowing.

What a pleasure to learn about you and your work and thanks so much for dropping by Feisty Side of Fifty and leaving your great comment!
